ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR FOREIGN RESIDENTS ON THE TERRITORY OF THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS

    The procedure for obtaining visas to enter the Republic of Belarus

    To enter the Republic of Belarus foreign citizens must have:

  • A valid passport
  • A valid Visa
  • Medical insurance contract, valid on the territory of the Republic of Belarus and providing insurance amount not less than EUR 10 000

    Note: visa-free regime is provided for the citizens of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Venezuela (for a term not exceeding 90 days), Georgia, Kazakhstan, Qatar (for a term not exceeding 30 days), Cuba (for a term not exceeding 30 days), Kyrgyzstan, Macedonia(provided that there is a private invitation or tourist voucher), Moldova, Mongolia (provided that there is a private invitation or tourist document), Russia, Serbia (for a term not exceeding 30 days), Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Montenegro (for a term not exceeding 30 days provided that there is a private invitation or tourist voucher).

    To apply for a Visa you should contact the Embassy / Consulate of the Republic of Belarus in your country. If there is no Embassy / Consulate of the Republic of Belarus in your country, please, contact an Embassy / Consulate in one of the neighboring countries to apply for a Visa.

    To enter Belarus to participate at the 6th World University Championship Canoe Sprint it’s necessary to acquire a short - term Visa.

    VISA DOCUMENTS

    To obtain a short - term Visa, you should submit the following documents to a Visa issuing authority (for each member of your team):

  • One properly completed visa application form [The Visa application form is filled out legibly by hand or by using technical means in an official language of the host country of a foreign institution, or in Russian, or in Belarusian, or in English. Answers to the questions of the Visa application form must be completed and logically consistent and indicate the real purpose of the trip. The Visa application form is signed by the foreign citizen personally. The Visa application form for a minor is signed by his or her legal representative. ]
  • One photograph [The photograph must meet certain r e q u i r e m e n t s s p e c i f i e d i n t h e international standard ISO/IEC 19794-5: size 35x45 mm, full face, against an even light background, high resolution, no corrugation or ink allowed, 70 — 80 percent of the picture placed vertically, 6 months older photos not accepted.]
  • A foreign travel document (passport) [A foreign travel document, submitted by the foreign citizen must contain a photograph of the owner, have at least two blank pages intended for Visas; be valid as long as at least 90 days after the expected date of departure of a foreign citizen from the Republic of Belarus. ]
  • Invitation from the Organising Committee of the 6th World University Championship Canoe Sprint 2014. To receive Invitation from the Organising Committee, please, complete the Visa Invitation Form indicating the names of each person in your team and send it to the Organising Committee via email: by June 10, 2014. Within a week after receiving the completed Visa Invitation Form the Organising Committee will prepare Invitation and send it to the email of your organisation.

  ATTENTION!

    The year of 2014 in the Republic of Belarus is declared the Year of Hospitality. On the eve of the 6th WUC Canoe Sprint the Head of State of the Republic of Belarus adopted the decision on exemption from payment of consular fees for the issuance of entry Visas to the Republic of Belarus for all foreign accredited participants (studentathletes; coaches; judges; heads of delegations; service personnel; members of the International University Sports Federation, the European Association of University Sports, International Canoe Federation; representatives of mass media and etc.). On the request of the the simplified customs procedure of the temporary importation of sports canoeing boats and providing with out-of-oder entry in the road passing points to the members of the foreign sports delegations and their vehicles carrying sports equipment and necessary facilities will be carried out.
    The Organising Committee hopes that the adoption of this decision will create favorable conditions for the participation of more countries in the Championship.

    Organising Committee by agreement  with the International University Sports Federation (FISU) is ready to accept applications after the deadline for submission of general entries.
